Regarded as “the best British rapper of all time” (NME) Kent-born Hip Hop artist Jehst is considered a cult icon by those in the know.
His twenty-year career spent “at the forefront of UK hip-hop” (The Guardian) has spawned a generation of sound-a-likes and spanned countless collaborations, a plethora of production credits and six critically acclaimed solo albums.
His latest, 2023’s long-awaited ‘Mork Calling Orson’ (released on his own YNR Productions imprint) was described as “a seamless body of work” by gatekeepers of the culture Okayplayer and received radio support from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Craig Charles and Lauren Laverne.
With a road-tested live show that digs deep in to his discography, Jehst’s performance portfolio is equally heavyweight. Having laid the foundations in the early noughties with London’s Kung Fu sessions and beyond, the man also known as Billy Brimstone has gone from intimate open mic nights to having his music reimagined by a 25-piece orchestra in a 7000 deep arena.
Endorsed by comedian Romesh Ranganathan as “a living legend, maybe the most influential name in UK hip-hop”, don’t miss this opportunity to see The High Plains Drifter live on stage as he kicks of 2024 in customary fashion - with a loud bang!
